WHAT IS COACHING?

No one knows you better than you. Coaching is a process to help you identify areas in your life that you would like to improve, set attainable goals, have support and accountability, and achieve long-lasting results. You are the expert on you. I am the expert of the process that brings the best of you to the surface and removes the internal blocks that we knowingly or unknowingly put in our own ways.

Coaching is not consulting or mentoring. I am not here to tell you what to do or have you model your life/habits after mine. Every person is unique and amazing in their own ways. What I can do is keep in alignment with your goals and values to move you closer to your definition of success. I can even help you to get a clearer vision of what success could look like for you.

Coaching is not therapy. Generally speaking, therapy involves being given a diagnosis and moving from a period of crisis towards stability and functionality. Coaching does not involve a diagnosis because a diagnosis is not needed. Clients begin at a functional level and are already "good" or "okay."  In fact, many are described by colleagues/friends/family as successful, but feel like something is missing.

 

About Me

Hello! My name is Joanna Ledvina and I am the founder/operator of Life Strides Health and Wellness Coaching, LLC. I'm married with three children aged 18 and up. I'm also an Air Force veteran and love to travel and explore new places.  I enjoy reading, concerts, listening to music, dancing, walks in nature, and spending time with loved ones.

Although I'm in an extremely healthy and happy place in my life right now, I haven't always been. I had to develop my coping tool kit over time and have experienced my share of stress, depression, and abuse. I've spent the last couple of decades working on improving and learning to love myself. I completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2005 and a Master's degree in Social Work in 2008, concentrating on behavioral health and addictions. I've had many roles in the mental health/wellness field including Public Health Technician, Residential Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and now Health and Wellness Coach. I am a Certified Professional Coach and believe wholeheartedly in the coaching process.

I have extreme passion for what I do and direct all of my energy into empowering my clients to achieve higher levels of success and THRIVE in all aspects of their lives!

In-Person/Walking Session

Having coaching sessions while walking feels amazing! Don't worry, I'm not talking about speed walking or anything. Sessions are set to a relaxed pace that feels comfortable to you. Just being in nature can help the body connect and relax. Walking lowers the stress hormone, cortisol, in the body and can lead to more engaged and successful sessions.

In-person and walking sessions are available at designated locations in Southeastern Wisconsin. 

 

Phone Session

 

Phone sessions are extremely convenient and aren't limited by geographical boundaries. They are a great option when your schedule is tight since they eliminate drive time. They are also very comfortable and excellent for people who have some social anxiety.
